California Dreaming: Day 3

I’d like to start this post off by asking the obvious question: Why did I ever come back home? California was everything. I seriously belong there. Ok, now that I have that out of my system, let’s talk about day 3 in California! I started the day off very early (like 7AM early) with a little walk on the Canyon Drive Trail to the Hollywood sign. Come on, if you’re in LA, you have to see the Hollywood sign. Am I right?? Starting this walk early in the morning was so worth it. There were hardly any people there. My friend wasn’t thrilled with waking up early, but she later thanked me for waking her up early. I love it when I am right! Plus, the view was just spectacular. Now I am going to bombard you with a plethora of photos from my walk!

I was a little scared to walk through this...as it would turn out, it was not scary at all.

FOUND IT!

Can you spot the peace sign?

I legitimately hiked up what seemed to be aย mountain. I was pretty darn proud of myself. This is why I need to move there. I could walk this all the time! I doubt that I would ever get sick of it. After the hike with a view, it was time to eat. Que the cliche In N Out burger picture! I do enjoy the good old In N Out. Before LA, I had only had it in Vegas. Worth every calorie. After eating our body weight in burgers and fries, we thought it would nice to see the walk of fame. And by “see”, I really mean drive by. That was a little too tourist for my taste. Crowds of people taking pictures of stars on the ground. Weird. But whatever floats your boat!

Now, its shopping time! My favorite. And obviously, I did some shopping in Beverly Hills. It was fabulous!

By this point, I was exhausted and needed a nap. Old lady status over here. After napping, we thought it would be best to get some guacamole and tequila snow cones. Naturally. We went to Gracias Madre for the guac and boozy snow cones. It was such a cute place! I thought I saw Brody Jenner and got way too excited. Alas, it was just a guy who looked like him.

And now, the main event: SUR. That’s right, the Sexy, Unique Restaurant was calling our name. These really are the best days of our lives and we raised our glasses high. Ok, if you don’t watch Vanderpump Rules, you’re probably lost. The only one from the show who was working that night was Peter. He got a hair cut and shaved his goatee, so we weren’t entirely sure if it was him. It was indeed Peter! We were surprised when he came over and took our dinner order…and we freaked out a little on the inside. But we played it totally cool. We didn’t mention the show…and actually, I think he was upset. Then we felt bad for possibly hurting Peter’s feelings. He was really nice. And cute! Thanks for the food and drinks, Peter. They were delicious!

There you have it. My California adventure rolled into three blog posts. I hope to be living there soon! I think it’s time to pursue my dreams, don’t you??

Have a great day!

Kelli
